   Hello Crazy Mango World.

   Could someone do an article on the Pro’s & Con’s of visiting Bangkok during Songkhran?

   Is there any expat bars in Bangkok where we can meet some lovely English Ladies?

   hell. u know where to find all the lovely english ladies.

   songkhran. hmmmm. if I could I would leave town during thai new year and hide ou on the beach. I don’t care for it much but I have endured it many times already. one day of it is fun. get wet, see girls get wet and drink. but 3-5 days can get on your nerves. just depends what u are into. some people love it. I did the first time but not the second.

   My first ever day in Thailand was the start of Songkran I thought the country was completely mad as I did not know about Thai customs. I too quite enjoyed the first time. Last year had to drive down from outside Korat all across country in a big pick up. At times it resembled Hotel Rwanda with roadblocks, drunken young mobs and an atmosphere at times verging on hysteria. I learned a whole new way to drive.The first day is fun and worth experiencing but not the rest especially in Bangkok. Full of fat drunken Brits in vests and shorts from Stoke, Clagthorpe and Yeovil running around with giant water pistols and smearing flour everywhere, ghastly sight. Pattaya is a bit better. It is also bloody hot in April.
   There are lots of English ladies to be found in Casanova and Cascade Bar on the second floor corners of Nana Plaza, just ask about the meat and two veg speciality.
