After five months in Farangland I find myself back in the cradle of Thailand for a 2 week vacation.
First, I had some serious talk with my regular 30 something GT with her own office job and no intention to empty my bank account.
To my surprise it was a great conversation. Se said she does not really want to live in my country. Because she has her family here, does not speak my language (German) and would probably feel bored at my place. Yes, that was good news for me. We stay BF and GF, we go to Phuket together and I will invite her to my country again next summer for vacation. No begging for marriage or anything like that. It reassured me again why she is my regular girl. Beautiful Isaan look outside and mature inside. What else can I ask for? Maybe it wouldn`t work for others, but it`s all good for me. And I can have some days for myself like yesterday night… which leads us right to the juicy stuff…
Started on Soi Cowboy having a beer outside Tony`s Bar. Tony himself happened to be outside too and we had nice conversation. His Bar is a Gogo, but since I only peeked inside for a few seconds I cannot comment on the quality of the girls or the bar itself. But Tony seems to be a really nice guy and it was a great talk with him. After three Singha, one Sambuca and some hugging with a girl from his bar I headed for Five Star Go-Go. This is a Gogo with a live Rock Band. The girls were not special in my eyes and the Band played the songs I liked at an average quality. I chatted wih a service girl almost all the time and had some great laughs. About three more Singhas later I headed for Long Gunn. It was packed and I enjoyed the show during my one and only Singha there: A single girl on the stage who put a peeled banana in her pussy and later shot with small arrows at ballons on the ceiling… she shot them with a tube in her pussy. Fun to watch indeed, but not a reason to return for me.
Then I got into a taxi to bring me to the Pent Club. But after driving for a minute the driver obviously didn’t know that place and at the next crossroads turned on the light inside and got out this folded cards with girl pictures while mumbling the usual bullshit about “massage”. I gave him 40 Baht and jumped out of the car. The next driver really knew my destination and there I was - at the so often mentioned Pent Club on Wireless Road 1/33. The main room with the live band as well as the Pool area was deserted. But the disco was rocking. Yes, the dancers are true stunners and I only spotted three other Farang inside. I paid 330 Baht for my first beer and only after drinking one more beer and another Zambuca I discovered that all drinks seem to cost the same: I ordered a Long Island Ice Tea for the same price. So if you need the booze forget the beer in that place and go for the real stuff. I succeed in chatting up a group of TG`s who played drinking games with shots of Whiskey. And soon I was right in the middle of the action and had a fun time with them. Unfortunately the girl I liked most and who also seemed to be interested in me barely spoke any English. And after her friend told me she will go to her place that night and didn`t want to come to another club with me, it was time to head for a new location. One more mention, I also chatted with a Thai guy a little who invited me to a shot of whiskey. He really had the best looking girl of the whole place at his side. She also often smiled at me but I didn`t dare talking to her. In general I had a great time and with better Thai language skills that place can probably be an even better place for good partying and meeting regular girls who ALL looked great at that place. My impression also was the Thai guys were all cool and had a great time partying. I think as long as you act nice and enjoy yourself this place is a very interesting (but expensive) alternative to the Farang dominated places. And from the looks but also the behavior the girls at that place are way better than at the usual Farang bars. Check it out!
And on I went to the Tunnel. The interior design is just great, imho. They also played some good music but the place was far from packed. I chatted up a 29 year old girl who wanted (if I remember it right) 5000 Baht for LT. Yeah, forget about that, chickie. I drank my beer and left for Spicy. From the looks the Spicy is more of a storage hall with tables inside, but it was packed. Well, long story told short: After some more beers I ended up in my hotel with a nice 24 year old TG. The attempt for some good sex miserably failed due to the large amount of alcohol in my blood. She stayed until 1 p.m. and I gave her the before agreed upon 2000 Baht. This is my personal maximum for LT, I never pay more. In Phuket I pay 1500 Baht and both prices usually don’t need any bargaining. And if the Tunnel girl thinks in an almost empty disco she can sell her ass for 5000 Baht – her problem. That`s what I love about Thailand: The huge supply that allows you to easily stick to your own price limit and still have a great time at any night if you want. Maybe 2000 Baht are already above the market price but hey, I don`t live here I don`t believe a girl will perform better if you bargain with her half an hour before taking her home.
Ok, now I move my own ass out of the internet café and head for some pool at the Hilary 2 bar. The desires of the flesh have not yet been fulfilled and another night on my own is awaiting me before going to Phuket in two days. May the games continue…
I would be interested to hear what others think current fair market value is. I have been running into some insanely high prices lately. Two different ladies in Gullivers last night both stood firm on 2000 Baht ST and 4000 and 5000 LT. Maybe I’ve been lucky, I don’t know, but I still try to stay within the 1000 ST and 2000 LT. I find the ladies will usually test me, you know, give me the old “idiot check” by demanding in insane price in the beginning, but they always seem to go down once they know your not FOB or is it FOP? Lately though, I’m seeing more and more stand firm. This tells me there must be plenty of punters paying the higher prices. Are we shooting ourselves in the foot here?
I haven’t seen it mentioned lately, so I thought I would throw in my experience of the “other” gullivers last week. I decided to venture out of the Suk and somehow ended up in Khao san. I fist walked into Gullivers at maybe 10 or 11, and the place was fairly empty, but full of TG’s. They were all friendly and looking to party as far I could tell. I think some of them were ‘working’ but there were plenty of non working girls there also. By midnight the place was hopping, the pool tables were converted into dancing platforms and it was packed full of people. Plenty of Farang men and women, but still a good number of TG’s. All the ladies I partied with spoke good english and were great fun. The Farang ladies appeared ‘ripe’ for the taking, but I was of course otherwise occuppied. The DJ was good and the service was fine. The buckets full of whiskey/coke with a bunch of straws are a great way to ‘drink socially’ and appear to be a good deal at 400 Baht per bucket. I had a blast, and left with a nice freebird. As always, your mileage may vary, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Homey, interesting question about the prizes. I always go LT, usually pay 2000 Baht and never had trouble so far in finding a TG who would go with me for that price. So I was rather thinking that 2000 Baht for LT would still be slightly above the marked price. Or am I just lucky? BUt I also didnt try t pull from Gullivers on Sukh befiore…
The TG I pulled in this post told me she was in Spasso before she came to SPicy and the normal prize at the Spasso is 8000 Baht for LT. One more reason for me not to go there. Would be interesting to know what other readers have to comment on this.

I’ve usually been around the 1000/1500 LT Bar girl, 1500/2000 LT GoGo range down in Pattaya, whether this is a good price or too much /shrug, I don’t usually barter before hand and just give them what I feel like the next day.
The few times I’ve been asked for stupid money I haven’t even bothered negotiating, just said “no thanks, maybe another time”, seems to work well for eliminating most of the starfish.
Talk I’ve seen on this blog for Bangkok prices shows it really depends on timing and bargirl economics, I’m sure someone else will give you a better idea.

great post phoeniz - I think we were the other farangs u saw last night at pent. we did 3/4 of our jack bottle and had a freaking blast. I bagged another number using a new technique that is growing on me.
H - I need to hit Khao san some more. I here good stories and I think the place is attracting hipper thais as well. Must be plenty for the taking.
all - u hold to what u are willing to pay. End of story really. I have broken my rules a few times if she is really hot but I tell her hot or not - if she starfishes I am paying the usual rates.

Homes: I only do ST.
With gals I’ve known for a year or two it’s still 1000 ST, two pops but I tell ‘em this is flexible and bonus points are entirely up to them.
Never went for that “pig in a poke” flat rate nonsense. I insist on remaining in the driver’s seat and my regulars know that. This bonus play separates the enthusiasts from the bullshitters.
Then I tip, them accordingly. So it’s sometimes 1500. And yes sometimes I’ll do 2000 ST for an excellent performance and attitude.
But the last thing I need after a limp-legged fukc at 1:00 pm is heavy duty entitlement attitude from a nasty bitch.
If I want that I’ll return to the old country
It’s just bargaining, right?
The idiot check is slightly more in play these days because they think they know what and when high season is.

I thought they only had 1000 baht notes in Thailand until I left the country and got a 500 baht note as change from the Airport tax. I might frame it because I don’t know if I’ll get to see another in a while.

Had to move my flight back to BKK until Feb last week for family reasons, so to drown my sorrows i enquired about a ST through a thai escort agency in London on Saturday…… 10,000baht (ten thousand) an hour - Hard as i tried i couldnt resist

The “VIP” lounge is next to the exit door. The toilet are exactly in the middle of the busiest dancing area. There are small stairs and obstacle everywhere, the podiums are too high and with sharp edges.
The “fake snow machine” shots just over the tables ruining your drinks, and so on and so on…

So I a have a pretty good idea why we sometimes get ‘fake snow’.

Prolly could do a separate blog on Thai P4P prices. Girls requesting over the top fees are really telling us “I don’t want to go with you, but if you give me enough money I will”. Usually results in lackadaisical service.
What each punter wants to pay, and each lady wants to accept, is up to them. Guys who are more into physical appearance than performance/personality will often happily pay high fees for their fantasy lady. BGs often go ST once or more out of their bars, then finish off the night at an after-hours place with the highly-desirable ‘young boy’.
Prices paid in other countries are irrelevant to what rates are reasonable here. The employment alternatives for most BGs are hard work at 6000 - 8000 baht a month for 10 hours of boring work, 6 days a week. Knowing this, I personally have no qualms paying 1000 ST / 1500 LT, and let the girls know additional tips are available for exceptional service. Starfish get 500 baht and out the door.
If a girl quotes me a high opening price, I don’t immediately answer, but start wandering my looks toward other girls. If she doesn’t quickly give me a reason to continue talking with her, I then move off and start chatting with another girl.

rrr - good points but I think u are being a little harsh. I think the difference is in discussing the design and the way a place looks versus the layout or use of the space. Tunnel has to be the coolest looking place when it comes to the design but appreciated most when the lights are on. However the use of the space is terrible. Totally agree. I think the designer did not follow through to make sure things were laid out to use the space properly. Sad really - it could have been so much more. It was suppose to be a normal club anyway but they got relegated to be late night only.
ts - very similar to the way it works in VN as well - but not as expensive.

About fifteen years ago the voice of experience (a new friend then and an old friend now) turned to me in NEP’s Pretty Lady said “Yeah they’re bangin’ for baht but, no, I don’t barfine girls who don’t wanna be with me. Waste of time”

RRR: Please refer to Smittys comment for my view. In the end, it’s the overall athmosphere that counts for me. That’s why I still crave the Spicy when in BKK, despite the - imho - inferior design, the missing dance floor, the occasional starfish attitude of the girls and Farang guys who make fools of themselves. If the crowd is having a good time, you can chat up nice girls and just party, I go to the Tunnel, Pent (well, not more than twice during each stay I hope due to financial reasons, hehe), Five Star. Spice Club or wherever, despite the fact that I might find downsides in every place. But I usually simply don’t care as long as I have a good time. Which is your favorite club? I am always eager to check out new locations.
TS, Orion: You gave me a tough mission: Cause a rainy season in the p***y of a girl after talking to her for 10 minutes and then finding a Sushi bar with a major hangover the next morning. Can I stick to my 2000 Baht LT style?
