Editor’s note: As we have mentioned before - for those living in town or those who holiday for a few months at a time in Thailand, it is fun to get off the beaten path. bkk22 provides us with a review of one of those places. Great stuff.
Want to spend a lot of money, dance with girls but not get laid? Ok, that may not be a great selling point for a club but for a new experience, heavy drinking and hot girls then you should check out The Sky. Located on Srinakarin Road, along a stretch with a few other clubs, this one stands out among them.
The Sky is a coyote bar, no membership is needed and there is no cover charge. If you do want a membership it costs 12,000 baht and you get 6 bottles of whiskey and mixers are free. Getting a membership is the way to go if you’re going to be in town awhile because without the membership the bottles are 3,000 a piece. This is not a place I would recommend if you’re here for a week or two. First, you won’t be able to find it. It is not anywhere near the touristy areas. Second, although not totally necessary, being able to speak a bit of Thai helps. Third, without a membership you may drop 5,000 baht here and not get laid. Not what most visitors are looking for. In addition to the whiskey, the bar also offers hookahs at 500 baht per hour (try the cantaloupe) and a food menu if you get hungry. Ok, enough of the boring details I’ll get to the juicy stuff.
What should you expect when you get there? First, when you walk in there will be about 20-30 “pretties” wearing dresses. They will all wai you, your eyes will be darting all over the place as there are literally more girls in the entrance than you can possibly look at. These girls are all very good looking but they don’t compare to the dancers inside. After pass through the gauntlet you will enter the club area. There is a large stage on the left, with a runway like path to a platform in the middle. The platform goes up and down and is used by both the dancers and the singers that perform. There are small round tables surrounding the stage, choose whichever you like, I always like to be next to stage as it is easier to flirt with the girls. Order you drinks from the table manager and get ready for the real fun to start.
Side note: I have only had 1 table manager the 10 or so times I have been there. Her name is P’Pink. She is fun, honest and will help you choose a suitable girl.
You will see lots of girls walking around in very skimpy outfits, these are the coyote dancers. They all have great bodies and most, if not all, have very light skin. There are rarely any other farangs here besides my friends and I. Basically, this place caters to a Thai clientele, so the girls are Thai style girls. For those that do not know, Thai guys (for the most part) like girls with very light skin, not dark skinned girls like those at Cowboy, Nana, etc… Anyways, 90% of the girl are 8 or above (IMO).
At certain points in the night the stage will be full of coyote girls dancing. If you see one you like, tell the table manager and she will bring the girl over. You pay for the girl by the hour, if you don’t hit it off you can always request another girl after the first hour. In my experience, this never happens and I have never done it. When I say you pay for the girl by the hour, what I really mean is you pay her to drink your whiskey. Sounds crazy right? If you want to pump and dump go to a massage parlor. You’re paying for the girl to hang out with you. She will drink with you, dance with you and probably make you laugh. [She will not screw you there, if you’re lucky, very lucky, you will get a phone number.] Go with some friends, grab a few girls and you can party your ass off. These girls are professionals. They can drink you under the table while making you feel like the most special guy in the world. The girls always like to play drinking games; I suggest partaking as they help get the whole group involved, but beware you will get drunk, very drunk. The club also provides different entertainment acts. There is a rock band that will play and a few female singers singing both Thai and western songs. These female singers are very good looking, but you they will not hang out at your table, they are only there to perform.
Editor’s note: I think the fee is 300 baht per hour for the girl to sit with u. Very similar to other establishments that cater to the Thais but different and cheaper than the member clubs.
You can also have the “pretties” sit with you, but they don’t dance like the coyote girls
Like I said I have been here about 10 or so times. So I can give the following recommendation as far as choosing some girls. There are 50+ girls working at one time so if you see something you like take it, but if you want a sure bet then ask for either of the following two girls:
1) Grace—Maxim model type body (d-cups) (you have to see it to believe it, seriously). Speaks good English and has a great personality. I have had her every time except my first time there. She will dance your pants off, so if you choose her be prepared to dance. She will also let you motorboat her boobs if she likes you. (If you don’t know what this means, watch Wedding Crashers).
Editor’s note: Motorboat - u r killing me. 
2) Punch—Sexy dancer, decent English and will take care of you if you get too drunk. My friend got really drunk with her and she stood with him feeding him hot tea and propping him up. (The tea was on the house). A few of my friends have had her and we always recommend her when we bring an out of town guest.
Now if you have a death wish, ask for a girl named Butter. You will be able to pick her out because she is the girl who is dancing who looks like she is on speed. This girl never stops dancing and has the craziest moves ever. She also like to get touchy feely with her customers, but she can be quite a handful. Be forewarned.
I have always had a great time at this place but don’t expect to get laid here; there are other places in Bangkok for that. I’m sure there is information I left out so feel free to ask questions.
Sounds like fun but do know of any guys who do get laid with these girls? How long did it take them and what strategies do they use?
I’ve heard from guys that eventually get to bed with Hostess Bar girls. Just takes patience over time with a girl you treat nice and have a good time with. Like you mentioned, if you’re lucky you can then get the phone number. You will probably date a few times and then if she thinks you are a proper suitor it’s P4P for the most part.
Certainly a different and longer thread to play in Bangkok, especially if you like the lighter skin model type.

Nice article. Is The Sky Club the standard way coyote bars are? I went to one in Pattaya and there was a modest cover charge that included a drink. There were lots of hot girls dancing on stage but there were no girls mingling with customers. There were waiter/waitresses that would bring drinks, but not sit with customers. The crowd was 90% Thai but the music was 99% farang. The dancers were great but I didn’t care for the painfully loud sound system that made any conversation impossible. There was a gauntlet of girls surrounding the dimly lit area near men’s toilets, but I already had a date so I couldn’t investigate it.

I think a lot of places call themselves coyote clubs if they have girls dancing. Places like Sky are like the member clubs but cheaper it seems. I have been to Gotcha and another one I can’t remember the name of.
For sure it is possible to pull but much harder and it is not a barfne scenario. My problem now is that the girls at the member clubs are just a bit hotter than what u typically see at a go-go or freelancer place. So I am in love with how hot they are even knowing it is harder to bang them but that does not bother me much. Hot girls aren’t easy but I like the chase. Spicy is always going as a fallback.

@smitty: I have see a farang in the club a couple times and the girls said he was dating one of the dancers. He was no trophy so he probably just put in the time. It’s not too hard to get the girls to go party with you after but be careful. If you don’t know them too well they might take you for a ride i.e get free drinks then take off.
My next comment may sound weird and you may think I am an idiot but here it goes. Although I have been here 10 times I have never asked for a number or a date. I can only defend myself 2 ways. A few times when I went I had a girlfriend. After that ended whenever I go I usually get too drunk, black out stage, to have any capacity to do anything, let alone seem somewhat respectable. I still have the goal of taking Grace (mentioned above) out. My friends have seen her at the late night place Scratch Dog partying after work.
I did fail to mention in the article that a good tactic, if you don’t get too drunk is to hang out outside after they close. The girls walk out the front door after they get changed and a lot of them mingle outside or grab some food. This is where is helps to speak Thai. You can chat them up here and ask them to continue to party.
@joe: I think Florence is on the same street. There are a few of these places in the area.

It is east of the city center. Depending on where you are staying you could take a few different options on getting there. One option is to take the BTS to the On Nut Station and then grab a taxi..being in the area they might know the place since it is not too far from the BTS stop.
Another option is to take Petchaburi Road out of the city, as you pass Ekamai Road tell the taxi to take the bridge, this will get you on Phatanakan Road. Take this road to Srinakaran Road and turn right. Go about 2-3 kms and the club will be on your left hand side. Look for neon lights with “The Sky”. Can’t miss them.

I hear u on these places. U either like them or u don’t but I enjoy them and I love the girls at them. It makes for a fun time out whether u pull or not and gives u something to aim for.

No problem. I was discussing this over coffee tonight with one of my partners in crime and we made a list of costs if you DONT have a membership there. We complied the following price list based on 3 people going:
1) Bottle of johnny walker=3000
2) mixers = 1000
3) hookah= 500 (1 hour)
4) 1 girl for 3 hours=1350 x 3 girls =4050
5) table manager fee=300
6) tips for dudes pouring drinks(optional)=200
TOTAL =9050 baht
So about 3000 baht each. With a membership you only pay for girls and extras like a hookah but the mixers are free and the bottle is a 1000 less when you divide the total membership cost by the number of bottle. Not the cheapest going out option but I always have a blast there and seeing Grace dance is worth every baht.

Just another tidbit. If you are trying to tell a taxi driver to go to “The Sky” you native English accent will not cut it. You have to say the name with a Thai accent which sounds like “The Saa-ky”. Make sure you put the accent on the “ky” part.

Actually my mate used to go out with one of the singers.
The enterntainers probably wouldn’t come over to you unless you can really pull the chicks (and he used to manage very well) or you have ridiculous amounts of money. There are different rates for entertainers, main team dancers and the 180 girls that work there (that’s how many were there on a saturday night).
So we used hang there about 18 months ago, and 2 other mates, one who used to slurge clients there on business for a change of scene.
Beware if you have a memebership, the cost of the night and the girls varies and is up to the table manager. One night we maanged to get away with only spending 300baht on mixers because all 3 of us had membership cards. And we happened to be all finishing our bottles. They decided to fleece us for 2000 more so my mate could sit next to his girlfreind (the singer)…
Needless to say they lost about 20K a month business and we never went back.
Try “The Pent” on Wireless road, similar scene, more variety. Girls are hot, but you need to put in ground work, they aren’t after LT/ST.
Then again it is Bangkok, anything can happen

can you just drink water and pay to chat up these girls? or is it required you stay get drunk and make a night of it? i’m only in BKK for a few days and i like to bounce from place to place insearch of top notch hotties… light skinned. also, do the girls make any money from the drinks you buy… or only from the fee you pay for their time? i see a potential point of leverage here: if you spend heaps of money to keep her with you all night, at the end of the evening you have a ‘prior course of dealing’. you may not be able to outright P4P but sounds like you can certainly buy more of her time. it takes me about 6 hrs to bed girls outside the P4P scene. i often think with P4P i’m reducing that time to almost nil. but this sounds like someting new and different. sort of like ahyridhybrid.

I go to g-clubs like Sky frequently, and I do not drink at all. I drink coke or water, but have to pay a small fortune to do so. Basically, these clubs make money from the booze, and don’t like it if you don’t drink, so charge you as if you are drinking booze even if you are not. Your membership buys you alcohol, which in my case I use for guests and the girls, while I pay for my own non-alcohol drinks.
Some clubs charge by the time spent with the girl, some clubs give the girls money for every drink you consume, some clubs do both. Clubs to check out are Sopranos, Forte, Ritz, Resort, Tango, Sky, Pent….maybe about a dozen more. Every one of them has literally dozens of stunning women.

thanks mochalover. exactly the info i was looking for. i just enjoy sex much more when i’m sober. so if i’m out for that i don’t drink. if i’m out drinking then sex is just a bonus. i think the concept of these clubs is good. but sure you muct have some coin to make it work. it’s like your paying for atmosphere- i.e. one where there are guranteed to be some stunners. nothing worse than going to a very cool club filled with only guys and a few average women.

Steini - you can go alone, but it would be a lot more fun and a better experience for you if you hook up with someone who knows how to handle g-clubs and is already a member of at least one.
I’d recommend you make the Big Mango bar in Nana your first stop in Bangkok and introduce yourself to the guys there…..they’ll steer you right.

To answer a few questions. All of these places are different when it comes to cost and structure. The non member Thai oriented ones are the cheapest. The one we went to offered 5 bottles of black for 5000 baht. Not bad at all. The girls costs 300 baht an hour and drink from your bottles.
My last long night at Forte we got drunk, ate some food, and bought plenty of lady drinks and our total bill was 5000 baht. Not that bad considering the quality of ladies, the entertainment and the fun factor for those who had never been.
Say what u will - it may be cheaper other places or cheaper to get laid but the girls are not this hot in general.

Now i just wanna introduce myself a bit: 32 year old, male ofcourse, from Norway. Been to Thailand 6 times, total lenght of stay, a bit over a year. My first trip was with 2 friends, stayed 5 months, it was like a backpacker light trip. But ofcourse went to some soapy, nana, patpong, soi cowboy, and lots of discos and bars. The other 5 times i have been going alone, hunting for girls. lol
My typical day in bkk would be:
- wakeing up with a girl about 2 p.m, then sending her home, well not everytime.
- then go out for some food, love the food here, both thai and european. I am also addicted to KFC. lol
- after a good meal i usually go to play pool at The ball in hand or at hillary 1 or 2 inside soi 4 a bit, or i go to see a movie, shopping, relax at hotel or start drinking early.
- and so the hunting starts, usually about 8-9 p.m. The first trips i lurked around nana, soi cowboy, patpong and khaosarn road. Had a “gf” for a week who worked at hollywood gogo, a very cute and sexy dancer. Loved to watch her do the oil and shower shows, this was back in 2004. On my next trip i found out that there was freelancers all over the place, the first place i found was Gullivers (soi 5), had a few stunners there, they have good food to and a big screen for football. Went to a disco with one girl i meet there and found out that i could find some hotter girls at discos. Q bar, mos, the bed, cm2 ect….. meet some beautifull girls at different discos. But then i went to hollywood bangkok club at Rachada soi 10 with another girl and saw lots of beautifull girls there. Had to go back there alone and hunt for some hotties, so i did. Found a hot girl there and had a gr8 time with her and her 2 friends (also hot). After closeing time we went to a place well hidden, dont know where, it was up untill morning. Lots of ppl in there, also lots of farangs. Didnt get to screw her that morning, i was to tired anyways lol. but did get her phone number, so i meet up with her the next evening, but this time i scored. I offered her some money but she refused, she said she had a nice time with me but told me that next time she had to get paid. Sadly i had to go back home the next day, what a bummer. Tryed to call her on my next trip, but number not in use.
Now i just wonder if she was one of those girls working in any of those places, but i quess not. cos she was not that light skinned. But not so dark as any bargirls either, so maybe….. i dont know.
Oh shit, this was to much, a little of topic to i recon. Iam sorry, but anyways thats how i progressed. Hope to find some even more stunning girls next time.

Smitty since i’m not in Thailand right now been looking on google earth and found all sorts of weird things in BKK. 2 story carousel and a loop the loop roller coaster for example. Maybe we should start a google earth community and get places like Sky on there. At least you should put the Big Mango on there if you haven’t already.

Anyone been to Maieke before? Well, I do not know where this place located at because its my friend who brought me there everytime and I never bothered to remember the location. The girls there are really stunning and the charges are quite different from what you all said above. For Maieke, they charge 900baht/hour for dancers and 450/hours for pretties. Had quite a good night by just watching the coyote dance and listening to the live band.

Yep - been to Mai-Ake. It is only known and signposted by its Thai name. I was also taken there by Thais so can’t recall exactly where it is (out Ladprao way….towards Ramintra), but this is the Thai address and phone number:

Well, I will try to find out the location from my friend. However, let me start off with a small review first. The moment you step into this club, you will be greated by its mamasan who will ask you whether you want girls to accompany you or not. You can choose to have a drink first and make your selection later. Just like any other coyote club, there are 2 types of girls. One the dancer and second the pretties. All the dancers are super hot with fair skin and well tone body. You will not find a single ounce of fat on them. Maybe its because of their daily dance routine that keep them so fit.
I think all the dancers are group into 3 group where. After all 3 group finished their dance, either a live band will take over or 2 super sexy girl who wear bikini and g-string panties taking over. These 2 super sexy girls can sing high pitch song in either Thai or English (they sing mostly in Thai though). The atmosphere in this club is really happening. i forget about the drink charges already.
I think this club caters to mostly Thai customer as most of the time, they play Thai song. Only once in a while they play English song. I dont see lots of Farang at this club as well. As for the dancers and pretties, most of them will not have any problem speaking simple English but you had to speak very slow and clear. Lastly, I would rate the girls in this club to be in the range of 7-10 in terms of look. As for atmosphere, I would rate it at around 8.

Okay. Now I know which place. I went there once on a same night we visited Gotcha. Another coyote bar out in the same area. I don’t remember feeling too welcome there as compared to places like gotcha but could have been the night. Have to swing through all these places soon with a more formal review and investigation into price structure and chances for hooking up.

To get to Mai Ake head to Ekamai Road (Sukhumvit 63) and keep going straight down Ekamai towards Ramindra road. Past Rama 9 rd, past an intersection, and over the bridge that crosses Ladprao road and it’ll be on your left a ways past the Tesco Lotus. Atmosphere is a bit more pub-like than the other coyote places which is what makes it nice. But the girls do you cost you more here. During the dancing impressive fire balls also fly out from the roof. Very fun.

Carribean is a g-club, similar to Sky. The entertainment is different, Carribean puts on an elaborately themed and costumed dance-theatre production most nights, as well as the usual dancers and a band. Carribean is a huge wharehouse of a place, and has many more “pretties” or hostesses than Sky.
There are tons of g-clubs across Bangkok. The best ones IMHO are:
Sopranos (Sukhumvit Soi 26)
Forte (RCA)
The Resort (Ratchada Soi 13)
but others I have been to include Pent (Wireless Road), Tango (Sukhumvit Soi 42), Piano (Ekkamai), Exotic (Thong-Lo), Ritz (Sukhumvit Soi 11), Gotcha (Kaset-Nawamin), Mai-Ake (near Gotcha), The White House (Ratchada opposite Soi 4), Sky (Srinakarin), Neverland (Ramintra 14 Soi Miyalabb) and Carribean (Meng Jai Junction - Prachuathit Rd).
I’ve seen pictures of coyote girls at the following clubs, but not sure if they are g-clubs or just bars that had coyote dancers for one nights special entertainment. In any case, I have not checked these places out yet:

Coyote mania appears to have reached Singapore. At least in a couple of places in Orchard Towers (Four Floors o’ Whores for the unfamiliar).
‘Ipanema’ had two or three, who actually looked like they may have been freelancing (pretty hot though) and ‘Naughty Girls’ had a selection of a dozen or more Thais. Quality ranged from super hot to super average.
No idea what the scoop was on cost or availability for takeaway, but the groups of Singaporean Chinese & Indian guys about the place looked to have purchased bottles of whiskey and had the girls’ attention accordingly. The farangs on the other hand, were mostly trying their luck by attempting to talk to the girls while they were dancing on the bars.

I’ve also been to Carribean. They don’t really compare. As mentioned before the entertainment is quite lavish at the Carribean with big expensive productions. Sky is strictly a coyote place while Caribean is more of an entertainment complex. At Carribean I was brought a line-up of girls who all spoke excellent English. The girl I chose was a translator making some extra cash. They are not for take away just to hang out in the club. I went with a large group of Thai friends and one person paid the whole bill which must have been quite high. I prefer Sky over Carribean, but just my opinion.

If you are getting bored with Coyote bars , try “Rabumba” on Ratchado Pisek Rd., This bar has ladies available to dance with, but not a coyote style. It’s just like ballroom dance and turn to be like disco late at night. The place is small but nice atmosphere.See detail in “www.rabumba.com”

I do not drink alchohol myself but each time I go to a club I always end up spending at least 2500 Bht. WITHOUT a lady sitting next to me.
In fact I only go there to watch the coyote dancers dancing; it’s just great to see them shaking their sexy bodies. That really brings out the Ato in me!
With regards to the white/dark skin matter: in the bar-areas like Cowboy and Patpong there are plenty of girls with the same light-skin as the ones in the g-clubs. I am Asian but I have seen lots of very beautiful darker skinned girls. For me the facial features are more important than skin-colour: I like “regular” features, i.e. not typical Thai (flat nose e.g.) but more western.
B.t.w.: does anybody know the name of the Thai female singer who has been performing lately in Sopranos (along with a British female singer); this girl is just h o t!

I was searching online for hookah bars and came upon this, perfect opportunity for me to express my feelings about the vast numbers of men coming to Thailand looking for sex. How pathetic are you to have to pay money for it! Can’t handle a real woman, so you go searching for girls who you can HARDLY communicate with who will submit to your piggish needs. Then you create forums to discuss their bodies in detail.. ooh yeah this one has got big knockers, ooh this one will give you oral sex. unless females are paying for dinner, movies, shopping, drinks, entertainment, etc - men are paying for it anyway.
thailand is just a guaranteed end result without having to put up with the feminist rights, equal opportunity, oprah watching, dr phil listening, vanity fair reading, divorce your husband to take half his wealth attitudes that men have to deal with in the west.
so if that constitutes as pathetic then i am happily guilty of the verdict.

Great review and A MUST VISIT on my relentless “coyote girls at any cost” fetish. My experience with these stunning beauties is from The Pent and Hollywood Club on Ratchada, both incredible.
I’m still not sure I could find the Sky being just too far off the beaten path. I’ll try to get it added to the City Map Guide to have Something to print out and show a taxi driver. Or could someone who has been there post their phone number.
