CM2 and Qbar have become total pick-up joints, CM2 maybe more
than Qbar but both are full of working girls these days. CM2 now though
is perhaps 50% not too attractive Russians, catering to increasingly
Middle Eastern/Indian male clientele. QBar is dead on Mondays, and you
CAN pick up the very cute waitresses there if you know all the right
techniques. Bed Bar however is not a place for working
girls, and avoid Sunday nights there unless you enjoy male company.
editor - We willbe discussing these techniques later under the title - the fourth hole.
Sundays is gay night at Bed Bar. Remember its free and will feel the same as long as u close your eyes.
- Hard Rock Cafe can be a very cool place to pick up, and has a great band/atmosphere on busy nightseditor - but the burgers at the Mango are better.
- There is an incredible after-hours club called Boss Bar - not
sure where it is (about 5 minutes from Siam Square in a cab) but it is
packed, plays good music, real party atmosphere (at least on weekend
nights) and goes on till at least 5:30am (which is when I left on
Saturday night/Sun morning). Much better than Soi 5 Tunnel or Soi 1. A
real mixed crowd - lots of farangs (including Farang girls with their
boyfriends) but a LOT of working girls, but watch out as there are also
Katoeys who are not obvious. Highly recommend this place.editor - anyone know where this place is? I dig Soi Tunnel at this point but always looking for new after hours spots. We may have to have an after hours section for the blog. Soi 1 hurting and it is mostly due to them raising prices, asking girls for a cover charge and the lame music. Still a pick up joint though.
- Pedros music bar on Sukhumvit between Soi 21-23 is pretty good bar - not many girls but one or two very cute.editor - I did stop in and I can’t say I am a big fan nor did I find those 2 “cute girls”. Maybe you had barfined them already? However the ladyboy mamasan did offer me a free BJ in the bathroom.
- Yes - Patpong go-gos are awful - blatant tourist traps with
nervous couples from Ohio checking out the seedy Bangkok night life!
But there are some VERY good bars in the middle of Patpong that rage
after about midnight. Try Lucifers with a good dance floor and trancy
music and a bar almost across the street from Lucifers (and on one of
those connecting lanes between the Sois in Patpong) with a small dance
floor in the back that has a very good mixed crowd with some stunning
girls most nights.editor - seconded. Seedy - where? There are a couple go gos that are okay. A few on the right hand side I don’t mind with some cuties. More than the 2 invisible ones you supposedly sighted in Pedros. Lucifer is cool too and the dancing girls who work for the place are fun to pick up. I forget the name of the other bar you mention but it always has the live band playing up front and the small dance room is in the back. Good stuff indeed.
- I plan to check out the local Ratchada Soi 4 scene with 2 19
year old Uni Students one night this weekend - so will let you know! We
can not get into a lot of the bars as the girls are only 19 (you need
to be 20) so plan on checking this scene out.editor - there are some good ones on Ratchada as we have mentioned before. Soi 6 and 8 are not bad as well. Check out Motown. FYI - they can get in to most of the Ratchada areas when they are 16 and above. Especially if they are girls. They can drink as well. Yes - the police are all over the white bars but the Thai bars get away with it all. It is not uncommon to be in a bar on Ratchada Soi 4 and be talking to a 17 year old girl. Be safe out there.
- There is a whole scene of up-market mostly Thai business-men
clubs to report on that I will do one day. I mean places like Soprano’s
(Soi 26), Piano Bar (Soi Thong-Lo), Resort (Ekamai) and a few others I
have been taken to. Not many Farangs get inside as they are
members-only, and membership costs a lot. But they are amazing places
with no commentaries or even descriptions I can see anywhere on the web
(at least in English). Suprisingly, farangs are popular with the girls
inside (they are different, and since they got in must be reasonably
interesting). The girls are mostly top-rate, and are students or have
good day jobs.editor - So true. I am a big fan of Forte on RCA. These are pricey places and I am not always sure how to play the girls since some are hostesses that you can barfine but yet others are dancing girls who go to school during the day but still seem to give out their numbers. Good stuff. I think this whole scene needs more exploring so we can post some courses at the U of Mango for how to game these girls.
The Pent is another members bars with hot dancers. Bring money, the girls and mamasan like to order 2 drinks at a time. Great time though if you like tease from a real babe.

That is really the point providing they are super hot. Sometimes I think the member club girls are just dressed up better and u pay a lot for a tease that u could get elsewhere cheaper. Sometimes I feel like the money is better spent chasing normal babes. All good fun though.
