    After taking so much heat on the last weekly, it looks like pmmp finally upgraded his mobile phone to one that has better camera resolution.

    @tosh: You sure it’s a girl?

    @Naughty: Indeed. The Ghost bought me a new cameraphone, and also the green background. Now I have to think of something to get for his birthday on Tuesday. Maybe an “I’d rather be in Bangkok” t-shirt or the phone number to Miss Christmas. Will think of something.

    A 2,500-baht gift certificate to Tulip would be nice.

    Or, even better, a busload of tourists to come to Pattaya to frequent my shop.

    well, for Xmas lunch I went to lolitas pattaya, bought myself a Singha and a bloody good blowjob, and that night went down to BabyDolls where I had barfined their dirtiest skankiest “showgirl” a couple of nights before.Half of soi 15 had the power out so she was sitting around in a candlelit bar with no music, and more than happy to hear the word barfine ! So happy she even suggested her friend came along …1500 baht each longtime if i bought some booze for a party. No problem …..sure beats Xmas in the real world !!

    @Mike — Yeah, heard about that but didn’t get a chance to get details until last night.

    Talk about adding insult to injury. Worst high season ever and on 2nd biggest night of the year the power to most of Soi 15 and half of Walking Street goes out for two hours.

    Lee, co-owner of Baby Dolls, ended up taking a bunch of customers over to Living Dolls 1 to try and keep them until the lights came back on.

    Tom & Greg, who run Sisterz on the main drag, were said to be steaming as they watched Xmas go down the toilet.

    On Soi 15 Angelwitch and Misty’s, which each have their own transformers, were still lit up.

    Barfines, by the way, are a bit more reasonable this year. Airport Club got stupid on Xmas night with 1,500 baht barfines. LD1 raised them only 200 baht over normal and only until midnight. X-Zone went from 600 to 1,000 for the evening.

    But, unlike past years, BFs returned to normal the day after Xmas. Last year, sky-high barfines, as much as 4,000 baht at Super Baby and 2,000 baht at Carousel, were kept at that level for 2 weeks.

    My vote for the most festive looking bar is What’s Up!. Popped in last night and all the girls were in Santa-esque bikinis and S&M-like outfits. Must have been 200 balloons floating at the ceiling and the stage was draped in snowflakes on string. Bar was packed, too.

    In one other note, it seems Sakura Club 69 will be closing shortly after the New Year. It’s amazing it stayed open this long.

    dw - pmmp would have ended up riding it in circles and then you would have all remembered to get off again at soi 4

    mike - dirty and skanky is good. pmmp would approve

    losing power on christmas is like getting kicked in the balls given everything else that is going on.

    Forgot to mention…. Manager at Living Dolls says the holiday power loss thing is actually happens quite a bit. He said previous two NY Eves they lost their electirc for a while.

    All the extra power demands of holiday lights, Xmas trees etc. are just oo much for Pattaya’s power grid which, as we know, is held together with fishing line and gum.
