The plan is to hit Chaleang Restaurant this Thursday. They have some sort of hybrid bikini/coyote party but I am unclear as to how good it may be but since the food is good and there will be some sort of action I think I need to check it out. Book early they say.
This is not an official launch yet but the new guide is up and running. It is called durianseed. Feel free to check it out and register if you feel so inclined. Some have asked how durianseed is different than http://www.wickedtraveler.com/. It is pretty simple. We HAVE to separate the naughty nightlife from the normal stuff. So the first guide was a learning project of some sorts and a useful item for the mongers but there is not a lot of money is this type of content since google refuses to let us show ads on it. The difference between google ad money and the other ad players is massive. This is why MS dropped out of the race. Since we think capturing all the venues and user opinions is important we created 2 different worlds so to speak. We have no choice is the simple answer. Once we get some time we plan on porting a lot of the technical work from durianseed back to the guide but have to give it some time.
