Howdy folks. We are trying something new on the blog. Added a forum. We thought this might be a good direction for the community and allow us to handle some things that don’t fit the post/comment nomenclature.
I have started two forums but plan on adding some more. Probably some sort of support forum for the blog/guide and other various topics. For posts on the blog with a lot of comments - we will start to move things to a topic and then close comments.
You have to be a user to use the forum. We may open it to guests later but we want quality over quantity. Being a user is simple and it allows one to use the guide as well.
The first one is for people who have general questions and want the community to answer. I call this the Need to know forum. You can find it here. The second one is for anything off-topic that you feel like talking about but not sure where to comment on the blog. That one is here.
If any has suggestions for topics or groups please comment on this post. As usual we will delete things we find offensive and will move threads as needed to appropriate groups/topics.

Sounds like you boys have been very busy.. The site has changed quite a bit, keep adding. See ya all soon.

The forum is a very positive development.
Hmmmm. Could we perhaps start a separate thread for those who disapprove of our choice of Thailand as a place to work, relax and blow our money on live-action Khmer temple art?

msb - just to be clear. We will do our best to set the tone and police the forum as much as the blog comments. We still want quality over quantity.

If forum comments drift off-topic will they be diverted to the relevant blog post?

Great addition. We needed to add the Forum instead of running strings of comments distributed throughout the blog.
