This was part of thaksin's morality campaign. Fortunately my 18 yo gf at the time shared an apartment with a friend who was out of town so I did not have to risk getting caught. Course this is the same Thaksin who kept one of his mia noi's working as a receptionist at the Grand Hyatt to keep her from partying to much. People are suppose to clean the river instead of polluting it. The police are also on the hunt for young Thai's as it's apparently the the night of the year when most Thai's lose their virginity.
