(solioquay, aside, foil etc) ALL - many of this series' actors are old Shakespearean types (RADA grads) and the series first materialized when the director first approached HBO with a pitch for a dram series set in Rome! Yeah, at first I thought thihs was overdone, but they do it well. There's always the "rewind" if you get tripped up on the phrasing. Worth a look. For shear "flash" writing and brilliant courtroom editorials from the the leads, the pace, wit and self-parodying nature of Boston Legal is a sure cure for those numbed out by second hand Thai "mia noi" dramas and the like and in desperate need of an irony fix.
