That’s it. Our Nana era is over. The party was a blast and I appreciate all who made it and all who left comments on the blog. Was a very emotional time for us. We had the biggest night of business we have ever seen and got to drink with so many of our regulars. I can’t thank all of u enough. Hopefully we will bring news soon of where the new home of the Big Mango will be. In the meantime we still got some loose ends to tie up. I am not sure how much blogging will be going on until things get settled and I feel like writing again but stay tuned - we still have a few tricks up our sleeves. Many thanks to our customers, to our employees and to my partners in crime. When the dust all settles we plan on revealing much more about Nana Plaza.
I will leave u with Stickman’s latest…

Great piece from Stickman.
I watched the boys lock the door for the final time not long before sunrise on Saturday morning.
I look forward to the Grand Re-Opening Party soon.

I concur with Stickmans opinion.
The Plaza has seen it’s better days.
About 10 years ago, the place started to take on the Pat Pong atmosphere with aggressive ‘pullers’ and nasty attitudes from the staff. Rip the Farang and treat him like a dog seems to be the policy all over Soi Nana.(and Thailand)
The local Farangs then gravitated to Soi Cowboy, but the ‘attitude’ has now migrated to that street too.
I’m a big spender and pay for pussy a few time a week but never in the Plaza or Cowboy. I don’t reward businesses that treat the customers like shit.
Maybe Washington Square is the place to start hanging out?

With so many YOBs, Hooligans and Wasters hanging out, it’s no wonder the Thais are sick of us.
Maybe time the Farang community did some self policing?

There use to be a really cool chill out bar on the soi 26 sub-street (soi massage). Maybe mext to lolitas or some place packed with massage bars would be a really cool place to hang. Not telling you what to do just throwing more ideas at ya.

No doubt that Smitty, as an inveterate fan of AW, will jump on this great opportunity…

What happened to the girls working in the bar? I went into the place a few times and usually enjoyed a beer or two with Bua…not the prettiest but always the nicest.

HL: They’ve scattered about, mostly Cowboy. When we are back up and running we hope to employ a few back and will also have info. on the rest.
Bua was an interesting one. Took me a while to get to know her. Customers that met her briefly were put off by her weird facial expressions. It looked like she was mad all the time. I had to remind her to smile more which in the Land of Smiles is a rare thing. Nonetheless it worked and the past three months she did very well.
I agree she wasn’t the prettiest but did you ever see here dance? I was blown away when I saw her dance. It was sexy, real sexy. I had to spin her around to see that it was really her. Anyway, hope she lands okay.

I also hope she lands okay. What I liked about her was that she always had a moment for someone, and willing to chat. She was one person that I never hesitated to buy a LD. Never BF’d her but still good company while in the bar.
And who knows, if you open in a new place, she may return…
