The FARANG Speaks 2 Much (tfs2m)

As I mentioned here I hit Pattaya last Sunday on an unplanned stopover. We were already in Sri Racha and decided to hop back on the bus and get a room for the night and check out the go-gos. We stayed at the Mamaison Hotel on Beach road and Soi 13. Lately I have been staying here since I like the location, the pool, the free WiFi and the no hassle policy. All in all seems a good value hotel play. We took dinner at the Blue Parrot for some decent Mexican grub and washed it all down with a few margaritas. Life was good indeed. However this was not too be my normal Pattaya run of exuberance since I had a girl in tow but fortunately my past behavioral policies worked in my favor.

For any of the past trips to Pattaya that I can remember I have taken a slightly different approach to my normal partying. When I go eat at any of my favorite places I only go there with my friends - I don’t take any girls there. When I barfine, I only take the girl(s) to short time hotels. This has proven to be a good strategy for me because then I when I do go to Pattaya with a girl - I can roll into my hotel and favorite eateries without taking any flack. For all appearances I look pretty decent, in a Thai face saving kind of way - thus allowing me to continue my rock star lifestyle.

This trip to Pattaya was going to be a little different from the norm in that the girl I was with wanted to hit the go-gos with naked girls and wanted to take something home. I figured this should be no problem in general given it was Pattaya but understand that Thai girls who are into girls have higher standards than most guys. They want to see pretty girls and want to have fun partying with them. Finding the right take home companion would hopefully just be a matter of time.

First thing I noticed while starting down walking street was one, how quiet things were and two, that there was construction for 2 new go-gos. Looked like some big ones too. Amazes me that someone is willing to try to add more go-gos to an area that already seems to have too many. Only time will tell but from talking to the girls and managers throughout the night the common response was how slow the slow season had been.

Superbaby: It is always my first stop. I know the owner and wanted to see how business has been. Even he said that it was slower than normal and a lot more police activity than before.

Fyi - a lot of people assume that Pattaya has blanket permission for more nudity and later hours but it is not true. It just so happens that the local Pattaya government gives a little more rope but is essentially having to bide by the same Bangkok rules. It has been rumored for some time that there would be some equalizing between Pattaya and Bangkok when it came to the nightlife. My gut tells me that is starting to happen as we speak. I also believe that with one supermall finished, second road and Soi 13, and many more to go that the rich Thai families who are investing in Pattaya will push for more cleanup. It is only a matter of time in my opinion that the naughty nightlife will begin to shrink to walking street and a few sois to make room for more a generalized form of tourist venues.

Heaven Above: Is back open but a shell of its former self. Most of the hotties are working at other places due to the prolonged shutdown. The replacements are not near as hot. The only good points are the new DJ with some great dance tunes and the availability of Smirnoff Ice. There was basically no nudity and they had stars on their nipples even under their bikini tops that almost never came off. One drink and out.

Happy: Despite some of my earlier gripes about the place I won’t deny that it is full of hotties, good tunes and still plenty of nudity. The nudity is mostly during the shows and there is less nudity in the normal line up so even at Happy things have changed a little. We had a few here and we noted a couple of candidates for the 3some but nothing definite yet.

Peppermint: From first glances it was the busiest and nudist go-go so far. Peppermint always seems to be busy. From what I understand the owner of peppermint also owns happy and the beach club. I am not a big fan of the beach club but it does okay. Peppermint is quite big and I like sitting towards the back so u can see the nude side stage that is not visible from the entrance and the far corner nude cage. Things were good since on the side stage and in the cage they were only wearing their heels. My go-go companion said she had saw 3 girls she was into. So we managed to assemble them and buy some ladydrinks. One girl declined straight away any 3some activity and the other girl on closer inspection was not so hot. However it went well with candidate #3 who happened to be a little spinner with an amazing bod. She came from one of the small provinces just outside Bangkok. Keep in mind - when the girls are dealing for other girls they tend to be very specific so I left the wheeling and dealing to the girls. The whole time they were discussing things the girl was standing in her heels and nothing else while I looked her up and down. I voted for my approval. The deal was pay the barfine and go out. 1000 baht for partying with us and 2000 baht for shortime. She said yes and even pointed out she likes girls as well so was hoping for a trip back to the hotel. I remained calm and tried not to start the impending 3some in my head. Anyway. Peppermint was rocking and had I been on my own I can say at least 5 girls I would have been all over.

Living Dolls Showcase: The third wheel wanted to see the place and I was up for it knowing the shows are usually pretty good but even this place has been toned down. Before the oil shows were just about totally nude but this time the underwear stayed on. The girls were hot and it was a sexy show but I was more interested in my travel mates who were holding hands and chatting each other up. Few drinks and over to Polo.

Polo: Polo is one of those strange places that seems to attract a lot of Indian and Middle Eastern guys. My only guess for that is the type of shows they have. There are also a few ladyboys here and some Thai girls who have that ladyboy look to them due to the fake boobs, nose jobs and mannerisms. The girls wanted to go though and who was I to say no. As soon as we walked in I wanted to leave since there was one overweight Indian guy dancing on the stage and another not so overweight one dancing on the stage with his shirt off. This is the part I hate about any go-go that does audience participation since the people who tend to participate you don’t want to see. Another drink down and the girls were getting more cuddly by the minute.

It was getting late and the girls wanted to dance so we headed for Marine but we were turned away due to lack of ID so we all decided to grab some street snacks and head back to the hotel. Life is good. Let me just say that 2girls who are into girls are so much more fun than that just bafining girls who claim to like girls.

Pattaya was slow but still good fun. My general feeling though is that the bars have been asked to tone it down a bit with the nudity but things appeared to be going as late as normal. We shall see if the impending high season will bring Pattaya back to its normal nuttiness or if this is the new mandate. Either way it is fun to get away, see some fresh girls and party like on holiday.
