Say you were offered 50 million baht for your share of the Duke Pub, would you do it? You could very well live off that amount and party your ass off the next 15 - 20 years in Thailand. He mentioned something about the entire place getting sold but he didn't seem to have all the details. Given it's prime location next to a lot of nightlife, soapies, Chinese embassy, a MRT station, Esplanade Mall, Carrefour, and Tesco Lotus - my guess is another luxury condo development. @smitty - I asked the security guard sitting at the now closed off entrance. Is the whole complex closed? My only guess is the property is just worth way more than the rent they are getting.
