One of the things I love about Thailand is that everythiing is possible. Some people get a little bothered when they cruise in to a place like Nana to see a ladyboy bar. Me - I think its great. Great for the ladyboys and the people who are into them. I also have always thought it was cool that there is a meat-market in the men too. Most people assume this is men for men but there are popping up around Bangkok more bars that cater to women looking for men. New Shake on Ratchada Soi 3 is one such man bar. Think of it as a beer bar for women. Men are not allowed in - I tried. The fact that everything is available makes the market more dynamic and free. I love the line about Japanese women sharing a 2 bedroom hotel room. While one girl is out shopping at MBK the other girl is using the workbench to test out her new boytoy. Amazing.

Fellow male sluts,
here is my take on the situation:
Approximately 5% of Japanese guys are hosts/scammers/studs
or something along these lines and are having sex with 10s
if not 100s of women.
The other 95% of the Japanese male population are too busy
to pay attention to women at all as nearly 100% of their
efforts and focus are devoted to work and/or gadgets. in
other words, getting to the office or akihabara is their
prime directive- not slipping their tool into some silky
box.
This situation has of course personally benefited me and
all other gaijin/farangs in this country as we are
expected to pick up a major portion of the slack. While I
cannot prove this i do strongly believe that while we
benefit ourselves we are also a mechanism that provide a
little balance in this society.
But unfortunately we cannot service all the woman.
now there is already a massive host market here. However,
my understanding is that hosts are forbidden to sleep with
their customers. im sure it happens somewhat, but it
probably doesnt happen that much.
So regardless of all the hosts, scammers, foreign and
domestic studs supplying as much pole as we can, the women
overall are still left with a supply-demand pole gap.
now ive heard from multiple sources about Japanese girls
(mostly in their mid 30s and up) going for the thai pole
due to lack of pole opportunity locally.
however, the article was written by Shukan Shincho. which
is what you’d call a weekly magazine. these weekly
magazines are known to make up shit on the fly. half the
shit they print in their is total crap. usually lots of
xenophobic b.s.
so if i had to take an educated guess, id say there is at
least some of this japanese box X thai pole pay action
going on- but when Shunkan Shincho wrote up the article
they embellished and randomly filled in the blanks where
they didnt have enough information.
By the way, i personally believe that the Nintendo Wii has
exascerbated the situation by an order of magnitude. Let
me add that as a Nintendo stockholder i have doubly
benefited from this near unnatural situation. besides
making a shitload of cash on the Nintendo stock rise, im
getting hit on by chicks more than ever as all these
chicks’ boyfriends have become Wii addicts.
