Been to this bar for the last two years it great, the girl band that plays there rocks I found them okay, great music, some girls can be taken out but not all you have to ask, and if your girl does not then she will find one that will, the owner had money problems late last year so some of the best lookers have left but it seems to be picking up again, normally about 30 girls some live near by were they give most of there money back to the owner for rent, the owner is from UK, yes there no hassling which I like, its my early night bar but do not go there before 9.30pm its dead. - by the way love your web and comments I think its the best in BKK - been working here for over 20 year off and on so I have seen some changes.. Also been reading your column and others but its the first time I ever commented, you must be doing some thing right.

    HI,

I dont know if this is your “cup of tea” at all, but what is your take on the coming and going bars with those sexy dancers, “coyote dancers” (coming and going because it has seemed to be somekind of weird trend for some time already in Thailand, places born and die so fast)? Any opinion if any of them is worth the visit because of the nice “can watch, but not touch (that much;))” atmosphere with good spirit, gorgeous dancer girls and moves? :) (I’m not into watching women popping balls out of you know what :D so something like table top dancing is my preference :D)

    Cheers

Ian - thanks for the compliments! I didn’t realise the bar was the work of a fellow Brit, I shall have to return soon.

LuvToWatch - I think the whole “coyote phenomenon” is a bit silly, to be honest. Sure, we all like a good show, be it ping-pong oriented or otherwise, but the “novelty” of girls dancing without a chrome pole is hardly ground-breaking stuff.

I guess it’s good for the Asian market, with their “white skin == beautiful” attitude, but you know the only way you’re going to get anywhere with these “non-whore” girls is by shelling out far more cash than a regular go-go girl would dare ask for.

Not that they aren’t worth a visit - I think pretty much every bar in Bangkok is worth a visit…

Visited Titanium last february. Some Brit recommended it to us and said there was no barfine.

This was ofcourse totally wrong! The 2 girls who came and sit down with us were willing to go, but barfine was 2.000 baht and the rest ofcourse up to you. Since I don’t wanna pay 2k baht for barfine we stuck with drinking beer and vodka. Pricy indeed, but a very nice place to go, just for a chance of venue.

Thx. I know, I know, talked with friends about the whole “coyote” thing, so stupid, can’t believe it has catched on from all the places in world, in Thailand. BUT nevertheless, as I have never seen any such (good) dancing, I was wondering if any of them worth a visit before trip to hmm, Long Gun. LOL

    Thanks for the interesting site!

Titanium is fun but the bar fine is quite steep and it is a clicky bunch of girls once u do pay the bar. I prefer it for just hitting the freezer room or listening to the band but sometimes they are so loud u cannot hear yourself think. There is also some deal with so many ladydrinks for a particular girl = bar fine. You will also find that apart from the steep bar fines these girls are asking much more than the average rate for short and long time. Hard to justify it given they are the same girls that work down the street but in outfits. Kind of the way I feel about most of Soi 33.

The coyote thing is somewhat of a fad but there is a big difference between the coyote fad that is happening in the Farang dominated bars and the coyote thing that has been going on for sometime in the bars outside of Bangkok like Whitehouse, Jungle Fever, May Eek, Gotcha and so on. These are Thai places with gorgeous girls, cheaper drinks and a complete change from the normal Sukhumvit racket. Takes more work but I think the spoils are well worth the effort.

Sounds like a road trip might be in order…

I think that sounds good. We are planning another recon mission to check out another area that we have now nicknamed “pattaya soi 6″ of outer Bangkok. More on that soon.

Let me know how much space there is on the party bus…. I’m up for something new if there’s room.

Hint: go late, almost closing time, and for the price of a lady drink you can talk them into joining you later.
