The last time I was in Patpong at night was 13 ½ years ago. It was my first time in Bangkok and I’d never heard of Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy. There was no World Wide Web full of naughty nightlife information. The guidebook said go to Patpong and avoid the upstairs bars. I did. Fought my way through tables of crap being sold, had one drink in some really boring go-go bar and left. Sadly, I found during my triumphant return Saturday, not much has changed.
